Agios Stefanos is a quite a lively mountain village, situated not far from the seaside resort of Makrigialos. The distance is about 6 kilometers. The village of Agios Stefanos is accessible via a junction on the outskirts of the village of Makrigialos itself. The road that goes to the village leads through a beautiful pine tree forest. In the village stands the great Saint Stephen Church (Agios Stephanos church). There are quite a few kafenions and there is a mini-market in Agios Stephanos. On a hill near the village are the ruins of the Venetian fortress Castelos, which in its turn seems to have been built on the foundations of an ancient acropolis.
