The village of Bampiolos on the island of Crete

The village Bampiolos is a small traditional village in the north west of Crete, just south of the tourist village of Platanias and not far from the village of Koufos. It is at the end of a exit that you encounter on the route from Koufos to the north. In Bampiolos is the end of the road. In the village there are old stone houses and around the village are a few nice churches. The land surrounding Bampiolos is agricultural and there are many olive trees.
