Ombros Gialos in the Apokoronas on Crete

Ombros Gialos is actually nothing more than a taverna at a place where the sea has a beautiful turquoise color. It is situated in the Apokoronas area, east of the town of Chania. If you drive from Kefalas to Palailoni than just after this village you will see the road on the right side (it is marked). Ombros Gialos is situated in a beautiful bay and the taverna is very good. It is possible to go into the sea here but there is no real beach. But there are people who go into the water from the concrete platforms that have been constructed in the bay.

The location of this taverna is worth a visit on its own. It is situated in the Apokoronas area, close to Kefalas, and set at the sea, with beautiful views. The food is very good as well, mainly honest traditional and original Greek dishes.
